About Us
PSPP Nawang Wulan (Pusat Studi dan Pengembangan Perdamaian Nawang Wulan, Nawang
Wulan Centre for Peace Studies and Development), with JAKATARUB (Jaringan Kerja Antar Umat
Beragama, Interreligious People Network) as its grassroot community, is based in Bandung, West
Java, Indonesia. We are engaged in campaigns for tolerance, diversity, and freedom of religion
and belief.
As a community, JAKATARUB has been initiated since 2000, meanwhile the institutional form of
PSPP Nawang Wulan was founded in 2018. Our staff and volunteers come from various religious
backgrounds and are mostly the youth (17-30 years old). These features refresh our perspective
and approach, placing this community as one of the examples for interfaith movements in
Indonesia.
Apart from being known for our involvement in research, advocacy, consolidation and interfaith
dialogue for religious leaders, we are also highlighted for opening spaces for interfaith
encounters, as well as creative diversity campaigns driven by the youth.
